Guided Tours

11.00am Guided Tour - An easy walk around the facility with one of our friendly and expert guides. In the tour your guide will get you up close and personnel with all our famous Australian animals with an informative and fun filled commentary.

On the tour you will pat a koala, see the ferocious sounding Tasmanian Devils, feed Kangaroos, meet and pat Patrick the Wombat, see some of the most venomous Snakes of the world, see giant Saltwater Crocodiles and much more!

Interactive Animal Shows

On Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and school holidays, interactive animals shows occur between 1:30pm and 3:30pm. Please see the show times below:
1:30pm - Snake show
2:00pm - Koala show
2:30pm - Wombat Show
3:00pm - Alligator show (Saturdays) or Crocodile show (Sundays)
3:30pm - Spotted Tail Quoll and Tasmanian Devils feed

Reptile House

The reptile house is home to over fourty different species of reptiles. This includes; frogs. lizards, snakes, turtles, alligators and crocodiles.

Koala Enclosure

Watch some of our fifteen koalas in their natural habitat from the glass enclosed viewing platform.

Koala Nursery

Watch baby koalas with their mothers in the koala nursery.

Koala Photography

At the Ballarat Wildlife Park we help you remember your exciting experience by offering a photo to take home with you and one of our resident koalas. Please see the office on arrival

Café

Our undercover café, provides a selection of hot and cold appetizers and is a fully licensed venue. It can cater for bookings; contact the Wildlife Park for more information.

Souvenirs

Remember your visit to the Ballarat Wildlife Park by purchasing a souvenir from our extensive range of items, including t-shirts, postcards, CD's, books and toys.

the Bushman's Hut

Experience early colonial life in a recreated 1840's bushman's hut. We cater for various different functions in our Bushman's Hut that is fully enclosed and seats up to sixty people. For weddings, parties, work functions, or meetings keep this function centre in mind, and contact the Wildlife Park for further details

Picnic area

Visitors to the park can relax in the tranquil setting to enjoy their picnic and watch the kangaroos and emus roaming freely throughout the park.

Tasmanian Devil

Tasmanian Devil

Largest of the carnivorous marsupials, this powerfully built animal is the size of a small dog with small eyes set in a short, broad head with strong jaws and well-developed teeth. It is covered in black fur, usually with white patches on the neck and rump with the muzzle and small rounded ears sparsely-haired. The Tasmanian Devils limbs are short with strong claws.
